  • This game will be the 3rd meeting between the Longview Lobos and the Allen Eagles.
  • Allen currently holds a one game winning streak over the Lobos.
  • The game will be the first time the two schools have met during the regular season.
  • The game will be the first time the Lobos have had a regular season game in the metroplex since 2005 when they knocked off Lake Highlands, 35-14.
  • The two previous match ups were in the Area Round of the Class 5A playoffs.
  • The game will mark a new era for Lobo Football as it will be their first Class 4A game since 1980.
  • Longview's 2008 season will be a new start, as it will be the first year Longview is not in the state's highest classification since the 1920s.
  • Allen is currently on a 15-game home winning streak at Eagle Stadium.
  • Longview also holds a home winning record as they stretched their streak to 19 straight wins last season.
